The Center for Constitutional Rights is asking folks to take action to ensure that Toto Constant is brought to justice here in the U.S. Constant faces charges here for mortgage fraud – and he has pled down to a lesser offense. If the judge accepts this plea bargain, Constant would be released on time served and likely deported to Haiti. While we and others worked hard for Constant to be deported during the 1990s and earlier this decade – it is assumed that the time is not right for this to happen now -while Latortue’s cronies still control the courts in Haiti.
