This report on a Sisters of Mercy and Friendship Office delegation to Honduras in December, just released, is dedicated to the memory of Berta Caseres, leading Honduran Indigenous Activist who was murdered on the morning the report was to be posted.  Please share it with your members of Congress:

Berta Caceres PRESENTE!

Staff and volunteers of the Friendship Office and the Honduran Accompaniment Project (PROAH) are deeply saddened and distressed after the cruel murder of Berta Caceres .  Berta was permanently committed to the struggle for justice for the Honduran people and her Lenca communities commitment to defending resources permanently under attack from the Honduran government and investors from the U.S., Canada and China.  She was also a long time friend and partner in the struggle of many of us at the Friendship Office.
