Make sure you get our emails!

If you’d like us to keep you updated on important developments, you might want to take an extra step to ensure that our emails make their way to you and get displayed properly. It’s possible that your email filtering system is incorrectly blocking some of your emails.  Also, your email system may be protecting you by not loading images from potentially unfriendly sources.  You can specifically tell your email program to allow our email by following the easy steps below.  

Choose your email program:     

Outlook Yahoo Mail AOL Hotmail Gmail Thunderbird

Instructions for Outlook Users:

  1. Open ‘Outlook’; Click on “Tools”.
  2. Select “Address Book”, then click on “File”, followed by “New Entry” or “New Contact”.
  3. Type in [[email address]] and “Save”.

(For Outlook 2000/2002/XP Users)

  1. Go to your “Tools” menu. 
  2. Click on “Rules Wizard”, and then click “Exception List”. 
  3. Type in [[email address]].

(For Outlook 2003 Users)

  1. Open our email to you.
  2. Go to “Actions” in your tool bar.
  3. Select “Junk Email” and click on “Add Sender to Safe Senders List”.

Instructions for Yahoo/Yahoo Mail Plus Users:

  1. Open our email to you.
  2. Click on “Add to Address Book”.
  3. Click “Add to Address Book”, again.

Instructions for AOL Users:

(For AOL 5 Users)

  1. Click on your “Mail Center” in the menu bar. From the drop down menu select “Mail Controls”, then click “Setup for Mail Controls”.
  2. Select that you wish to receive future emails from us, and click “Next”.
  3. Choose to “Allow emails to send/receive pictures and files”. Click “Next” and “Save” settings.

(For AOL 6-9 Users, AOL Anywhere Users – aol.com)

  1. Open our email to you.
  2. Click on “Add Address”.
  3. Click “Save”.

Instructions for Hotmail Users:

  1. Open our email to you.
  2. Click on “Save Address” in the top of the navigation bar.
  3. Click “OK”.

Instructions for Gmail Users:

  1. Click Contacts along the left side of any Gmail page.
  2. Click Add Contact.
  3. Copy and paste our From address [[email address]],  into the primary email address dialog box.
  4. Click Save.

How to check if our newsletter is in the “spam” folder:

  1. Click Spam along the left side of any Gmail page.
  2. Check mark the box next to our newsletter.
  3. Click Not Spam button along the top.

Instructions for Mozilla Thunderbird Users

Add us to your Personal Address Book:

You will need to add our From address,[[email address]], to your Thunderbird Address Book and configure your Junk Mail Controls to white list your address book.

  1. Click the Address Book button.
  2. Make sure the Personal Address Book is highlighted.
  3. Click the New Card button. This will launch a New Card window that has 3 tabs: Contact, Address & Other.
  4. Under the Contact tab, copy and paste our “From” address, [[email address]] into the Email dialog box.
  5. Click OK.

White list your Personal Address Book:

  1. From the main drop down menu, select “Tools > Junk Mail Controls…”
  2. This will launch the Junk Mail Controls window that has two tabs: Settings and Adaptive Filter.
  3. Under the Settings tab, update the “White Lists” module by selecting Personal Address Book from the pull down menu and then check mark the box next to “Do not mark messages as junk mail”.
  4. Click OK.

Find our emails that have been marked as junk incorrectly:

Please check your Junk folder to see our newsletter have been mistakenly placed there. To prevent this from happening in the future, you need to mark our newsletter as not junk. Do this by right-clicking on our newsletter and choose “Mark > As Not Junk”.
