Latest AP Story follows… MIAMI (AP) – As Dean gusts along its destructive path, the National Hurricane Center in Miami has issued a hurricane watch for the southern coasts of Haiti and the Dominican Republic. The Category 2 hurricane has torn up the eastern Caribbean islands of St. Lucia and Martinique as the eye of the storm passed in between them. Winds ripped the roof off buildings, including that of a children’s ward at a St. Lucia hospital. State radio reports the island’s capital has been left "a total mess."
