It is with great sadness that the Friendship Office shares the news of the death of Thomas Siemer, long 
term friend of the people of Nicaragua. In 1994 Rita D’Escoto Clark, married Tom Siemer who became a strong supporter of the Friendship Office, founded by Rita. Tom was a dedicated peacemaker, active with Pax Christi and known for his tireless efforts to protest nuclear weapons and to persuade the Vatican to take a stance against nuclear war.
